Pontiac House of Pizza in Elgin

Kind of "regular's" friendly. Food was ok, not very flavourful. I had been here once before and dined inside, it seemed better then.

The food is good but costs more than you would expect for the quality. When eating at the restaurant, the wait staff are friendly and welcoming. I get a small town nostalgic feeling that I quite like. As a take out place, it's not worth it to me. On my last visit, I questioned my total because it was more than I calculated from the menu. The high-school aged person was defensive and didn't seem to listen well to my concern. After a brief discussion, She went to the kitchen to consult with a man who guestured toward me as I stood at the counter and said, "him?!" In a way that made me feel like I had done something very wrong. She then came back and restated what she said before. I paid for my pizza and left because I'm a grown man and don't want to argue with a high-school aged person about $3. Suggestion: have your staff take the time to calculate the charges when someone places an order over the phone and state the total charges to the customer.

Service was great. Quick and friendly. Food was fresh and was delicious. Had a taste of the fried flounder, and it was good. Personally got a margarita pizza, and I wish I had a larger appetite. It was larger then expected and tasted great.

This is my go to place for pizza. The crust is the best part. I like dipping it in the ranch dressing. They also have some big chicken wings for a good price. If you don't want to dine in they have a pickup window you just have to call it in.

Ordered a 10" Meatball Sub and meat to bread ratio was so far apart and Meatballs were so small I had to watch my bits and kept pressing the fillings back in the roll to assure the both would end together. All very bland sauce as well.

Pick was awful ☹️ had to wait 30 minutes to get a call in order of $95.00. The staff was polite but stretched thin.

This was our first time ordering from here. We ordered a 16” pepperoni pizza. It was less than 14” in diameter. 😡 Other than that it was tasty. But we won’t be spending our money here anymore. Hopefully they will start measuring the pizzas before sending them out. After reading other reviews, we aren’t even going to bother going back to resolve the issue because it doesn’t sound like they care based on others experiences. Lesson learned.

Review base in pizza. This pizza is far from good. This is Pizza Hut quality, which in my opinion in the same league as dominos pizza. Whoever think this is good is delusional. If you like cornmeal dough pizza be my guess. I am quite disappointed this is not real pizza .

Great pizza. Loved the antipasto salad. Comfortable atmosphere (better in person than in the pictures). Very reasonable prices.

Not just pizza, although there's certainly plenty of that! I had a delicious Greek pasta with added shrimp, and it was cooked wonderfully. Split a tiramisu with my boyfriend for a perfect end to the meal.Atmosphere is casual and cozy, service is friendly. We'll be back.

The food is decent, but I just paid $51 for 2 sandwiches and 2 orders of wings. WAY overpriced!! Everybody was very nice. I’d be nice too if I was making that kind of money!

Great restaurant in Pontiac. I don't get by there as often as I would like to, but when I do it is a special treat for me. Love the hot Italian sub! Haven't yet had a bad meal there. Enjoy it!

Food is consistent (and tastes great) and the staff have been there a long time. One told me for 16 years. Ive known others for 10ish years

If you love authentic pizza then you will love this place. Good food and fast service. This place is always busy but they move so fast that you really don't notice the wait if there is one.

Clean, quick and souvlaki was tasty. Portion was larger than I needed.

One of our favorite places in town for takeout and Pizza! The teriyaki wings are the best in Columbia. We also love their gyros. We've never dined in but have gotten food to-go countless times. Review solely based on food!

We love pizza and the Greek salads here. This has become our go to pizza place. I love that they have a drive through and I can pick it up on my way home from work! Yummy

Came at a friend's recommendation and was blown away! Delicious pizza and salads -- the feta dip app was really good and our server was wonderful. Comfortable, easy atmosphere with great food and extremely attentive service. Will definitely return soon!

Great service and very good value. The pizza has a very good flavor. Definitely more flavor than the big franchise pizza joints. This place is closed on Sundays.

Pros: Good food and friendly service! Their wings actually had seasoning and were fried properly.Cons: Called in for seasoned fries, but they were definitely plain and soggy; charged $2 for like 6 tiny pieces of celery - really guys?

Food always delicious. We're from Washington, PA. We eat lunch here when we visit family in SC. It's a favorite stop.Staff is friendly. Close to daughter's work & lunch hour works well. Popular lunch place.My stromboli was delicious.

Food is really good and the staff there are really nice but they charged my card extra when my total was 24.62 and they charged my card 38 dollars and some change. Didn't go back because I told the waitress to throw my receipt out. So I had no proof that my order was 24.62 so they got that...
